Holiday Cookie Fun with Kids at Home

Holiday cookie fun is just a few minutes in the oven away. Creating those holiday memories is important to most moms and dads wanting to give their children the best holiday experience possible. The good news is that parents don’t have to spend too much money to make a great holiday memory with their child. An old fashioned way of thinking may also be the most frugal. Here are a few things parents and kids can do with cookies for any holiday.
Cookies

Make Them Together

Spending time with one another is what makes a moment special. It shows people that they are cared for. That’s why doing something as simple as baking cookies with a person can create a good foundation for a healthy relationship. Making cookies together is a good way to spend time with a person no matter their age. It is fun, enjoyable, and produces a delicious treat.

Decorate and Shape Them

One fun thing to do with cookies is to decorate them. Maybe even cut them into funny or festive shapes. Kids can make icing for the cookies, painting them any color they wish. Parents and kids alike enjoy making snowmen, Christmas trees, bells, pumpkins, Easter eggs, and flags...any number of things.

Give Them a Dunk

Once the cookies are done and ready to eat they are ready to dunk into a glass of milk. Those Chocolate Chip Cookies dipped in milk are delicious. Now kids can soak their own cookies in milk using a hands free system called the Dunking Buddy. It’s a two part device that allows a handle to control the cookies, which are contained in a tray. Sliding the handle down the glass will lower the cookie into the glass of milk to let it soak. With a Dunking Buddy people always get the best cookie possible.
